PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster easily detachable from a carriage, and a carrying device for easily attaching/detaching the carriage to/from the caster. SOLUTION: This device comprises a plate 108 having a caster 104 fixed to a carriage 102, installed to either the carriage 102 or the caster 104 and having a fixing hole 106 formed; a reception part 110 installed to the other of the carriage 102 and the caster 104, insertably receiving the plate 108, and having a pair of slide contact parts 112 coming into slide contact with both faces of the plate 108 and extending in the insertion direction, and an insertion restraining part 114 connecting the respective slide contact parts 112, and coming into slide contact with the insertion direction end of the plate 108; a shaft member 116 moving in a direction vertical to the plate 108 and detachable to the fixing hole 106; and an energizing member 118 energizing the shaft member 116 in the insertion direction to the fixing hole 106.
