PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a warp of a composite plate after manufacture and to provide a novel manufacturing method for it. SOLUTION: The composite plate is manufactured by laminating a plurality of intermediate veneers 12 and 13 the direction of fiber of which approximately corresponds to the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction via an adhesive agent on the innermost surface of a veneer 11 the direction of fiber of which approximately corresponds to the longitudinal direction; laminating the outermost veneer 14 the direction of fiber of which approximately corresponds to the longitudinal direction and which has a larger water content than that of the innermost veneer via an adhesive agent on it; further laminating a fibrous plate 15 on the outermost veneer via an adhesive agent and integrating the obtained laminate 18 by hot-pressing. The thickness (t<SB>1</SB>) of the innermost veneer is approximately equal to or larger than the thickness (t<SB>4</SB>) of the outermost veneer, and the sum of the thickness (T+t<SB>4</SB>) of the fibrous plate and the outermost veneer is smaller than 50% of the total thickness (T<SB>0</SB>) of the composite plate.
