PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-barrier film which has high gas-barrier properties against oxygen and water vapor and is excellent in gas-barrier durability owing to post processing such as heat treatment and to provide a transparent gas-barrier film suitable for a plastic substrate for an electronic device in particular. SOLUTION: In the gas-barrier film, a gas-barrier layer comprising an amorphous carbon layer and a polymer layer is laminated on the hard coat layer of a plastic substrate. The hard coat layer having a surface resistivity of 10<SP>11</SP>Ω/square or below is used preferably. The glass transition temperature of the plastic substrate is preferably 200°C or higher.
