HIGH SHINE, STICK-SHAPED COSMETIC PRODUCTS

The present invention provides a cosmetic composition having a gloss of a t least about 85 gloss units (gu), as well as sufficient shape retention pro perties for forming a stick-shaped cosmetic product. Specifically, the cosme tic composition contains: (a) a high viscosity oil component; (b) a medium v iscosity oil component; (c) a low viscosity oil component; and (d) an oily g elling agent comprising an ester of glycerol or polyglycerin with an aliphat ic or hydroxyl aliphatic acid and a dibasic acid. A stick-shaped cosmetic pr oduct formed by the cosmetic composition of the present invention exhibits a high-shine that is not available in conventional stick-shaped cosmetic prod ucts and yet retains the high make-up coverage typically provided by convent ional stick-shaped cosmetic products.
