PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining device of a steel pipe column, applied to use under a condition of a low sky head, by joining a lower side steel pipe column and its upper side steel pipe column inserted into a pit of the ground, with sufficient joining strength, by a screw type mechanical joint.SOLUTION: A joining device comprises a holding device 20 for holding a lower side steel pipe column 1 in a rotation-stopped state and a fastening device 40 for holding and rotating an upper side steel pipe column 1. The fastening device 40 comprises an upper side pedestal frame 42 arranged on the holding device 20 and inserting the upper side steel pipe column 1, a holding mechanism 50 rotatably provided on the upper side pedestal frame 42 around the axis of the upper side steel pipe column 1 and transferring to a holding state of surrounding and holding the upper side steel pipe column 1 and an expansion state of enabling the upper side steel pipe column 1 to enter and retreat by expanding from the holding state, and an expansion mechanism 60 provided in the upper side pedestal frame 42 and rotating the holding mechanism 50 by expanding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
