An apparatus for detecting an inverter current is provided to implement the inverter current detection apparatus at a low cost by detecting an inverter output current which is wanted to calculate a flux current and a torque current through two current sensors. A first current sensor(210) is connected to one of three phase output lines of an inverter, and detects a current of one phase. A second current sensor(220) is connected to the other of three phase output lines of the inverter, and detects a current corresponding to a difference value of a current which flows on two output lines. A current transform unit transforms the current detected by the first and second current sensors(210,220) to a flux current and a torque current based on information about the flux angle of an induction motor inputted from an outer part. A triangle function processing unit(231) outputs the flux angle of the induction motor inputted from the outer part as a triangle function value. A torque current calculation unit(232) calculates a torque current by coordinate-transforming the current detected by the first and second current sensors(210,220) based on the triangle function value outputted from the triangle function processing unit(231). A flux current calculation unit(233) calculates a flux current by coordinate-transforming the current detected by the first and second current sensors(210,220) based on the triangle function value outputted from the triangle function processing unit(231). |
