PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which reduces pressure pulsation generated at the valve-opening of a pressure reducing valve.SOLUTION: A pressure reducing valve control device is applied to a fuel injection system comprising a common rail, a pressure reducing valve which discharges fuel in the common rail to a low-pressure side, a fuel supply pump which supplies the fuel to the common rail, and a fuel injection valve for injecting the fuel which is pressure-accumulated in the common rail. The pressure reducing valve control device comprises pressure acquisition means, determination means and drive decision means. The pressure acquisition means acquires rail pressure (S410). The determination means determines whether or not the rail pressure satisfies a determination condition for switching a drive current at a start of valve-opening drive with respect to the pressure reducing valve (S418). When the rail pressure does not satisfy the determination condition, the drive decision means decides to start the valve-opening drive for the pressure reducing valve at a second drive current which is lower in a current value than a first drive current (S412), and when the rail pressure satisfies the determination condition, decides to start the valve-opening drive for the pressure reducing valve at the first drive current (S420).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
