The claimed device is used for stabilizing patients in the desired position whilst taking a knee x-ray. Routinely, the tibia is inclined at an angle of 10°, which is statistically seen to be the angle for the optimum image of the knee joint. Said angle and the foot rotation angle can be adjusted. Said device is suitable for the majority of body shapes and sizes. The desired position can be obtained by position sensors and the RTA can be confirmed by means of acoustic and optical signal transmitters. |
