Provided is a separator for a secondary battery. The separator for a secondary battery includes: a base layer; and a graphene layer coated on the base layer. Some carbons included in the graphene layer are substituted with functional elements having unshared electron pairs. Therefore, a secondary battery with improved charge and discharge efficiency can be provided.
