PURPOSE:To always attain correct focus detection by preparing plural AGC areas in a sensor array, and when focus detection is disabled, changing the range of a sensor output to be processed and an optimum AGC area in the sensor and newly executing the accumulating operation and focus detecting processing of the sensor. CONSTITUTION:Photometric elements ST1-ST3 for auto gain control (AGC) are respectively constituted of photodiodes to output a control signal SAGC through a conversional amplifier AAMP. An optical image formed on the sensor array SAA is also formed on the ST1-ST3 and the optical image as that on the SAA is utilized for AGC. When a signal CAGC is 'H', MOS1 and MOS2 are connected and the signal SAGC is obtained by adding respective outpus of the elements ST1-ST3. When the signal CAGC is 'L', the MOS1 and MOS2 are disconnected and the signal SAGC is outputted only from the center element ST2. |
