PURPOSE: To prevent degradation of a pressure valve that adjusts negative pressure in the ink reservoir. CONSTITUTION: A partition room 40 that communicates with ink reservoirs 32a to 32c are provided, liquid is sealed in the partition room 40, and a hydrophobic film 43 is provided at the bottom of the partition room 40. When negative pressure in the ink reservoir exceeds a specified level, air is introduced through the hydrophobic film 43, and the negative pressure is maintained at a constant level. Since the hydrophobic film 43 is separated from ink of the ink reservoirs, it is not affected by components of the ink. |
