PURPOSE:To easily grasps the arrangement and position of document data at the time of input and edition by providing a means for judging whether a position to display a display pattern is included within a range displayed on a screen or not. CONSTITUTION:After a document is displayed on the screen, it is judged whether the arbitrary position on the document is included in the displayed picture or not. Namely, a CPU compares the size relation among a coordinate 203 at the left edge of the picture, coordinate 204 at the right edge of the picture and arbitrary position 209 in the horizontal direction of paper and stores '1' in a flag 213 when the position 209 is included between the left edge and right edge of the picture. Further, the size relation is compared between a coordinate 205 at the upper edge of the picture, coordinate 206 at the lower edge of the picture and position 212 in the vertical direction of paper, and '1' is stored in a flag 214 when the position 212 is included between the upper edge and lower edge of the picture. Next, when the contents of both flags 213 and 214 show '1', display patterns 215 and 216 stored at addresses shown by address data 208 and 211 are displayed together with the document. |
