<p>An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier; a plurality of light beam exposing units for generating a plurality of light beams and for simultaneously scanning the carrier in the same scanning direction and in parallel to each other to form respective latent image by respective lines on the carrier, wherein the exposing units repeat to scan plural times for each color to form a color image for one page on the carrier; a photosensitive sensor for detecting an amount of deviation of the plural light beams in the scanning direction; and a deviation correcting devices for correcting deviations among the plural light beams according to the detected amount of deviation. The deviation correcting device detects an amount of deviation among light beams out of the plural exposures for one page of the color image and corrects the deviation before a first color exposure, and corrects an amount of deviation for a second color exposure and thereafter according to the correction conducted for the first color exposure. <IMAGE></p> |
