PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly estimate a spectrum emitted to the outside in optional structure, and make element design for obtaining a desirable spectrum possible by constituting with a luminescent source having a metal surface on one surface and a plurality of optical film thicknesses, and performing the structure design for taking out light based on a luminescent spectrum obtained from a simulation model represented by the numerical formula. SOLUTION: Numerical expression I shows a layer having different refractive index of (q) kind on the metal surface side of a luminescent source and (p) kind on the opposite side and the whole associated waveϕ[λ] comprising a reflecting waveϕnm in incoming from an (n) layer to an (m) layer. [In formula I,λis the wave length, p>1, q>=1, amplitude of each lightϕis represented by the specified expression.] Normalized modulation spectrumρ[λ] obtained from the composite wave of each light is represented by a specified expression, and when a luminescent source spectrum is IPL[λ], spectrum IEL[λ] emitted to the outside from a (p) layer is represented by an expression II. Spectrum estimation with a simulation model is quantitative and precise, calculation of element constitution such as film thickness is made possible, and the dispersion of spectroscopic characteristics is reduced.
