SUCTION GRILLE OPENING/CLOSING DEVICE FOR AIRCONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A suction grille opening/closing device for an airconditioner is provided to shut out the external dust from the indoor unit when the unit is not operated by having the suction grille opened/shut by the drive of the motor. CONSTITUTION: The air conditioner comprises; an outdoor unit with a compressor and a condenser embedded in it; an evaporator(18) to cool the air around it in the process of evaporation of the coolant delivered from the condenser; a suction grille(22) rotatively connected by a hinge(24) with the indoor unit(20); a frame(30) to move the suction grille(22) and a step motor(40) to control the position of the frame(30).
