PURPOSE: A no-load judging method for a microwave oven is provided to promote the reliability and the safety of a product by judging the no-load state of a microwave oven more accurately. CONSTITUTION: The no-load judging method comprises the steps of:judging as no-load if the temperature increase slope is over a predetermined value at a certain point while heating up to the predetermined target temperature; judging as no-load if the access time to the target temperature is under the predetermined time; performing control heating after attaining the target temperature and judging as no-load when control heating; and judging as no-load when more than two conditions are sufficient among the processes.
