AIR CONDITIONER AND METHOD OF EQUALIZING

PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to prevent the noise occurred due to the flowing of a high pressure coolant into a low pressure pipe when equalizing and to prevent the overflow of liquid coolant of an accumulator and flowing into a compressor. CONSTITUTION: An equalizing method of an air conditioner having a high pressure pipe where high pressure coolant flowed out of a condenser(20) flows; and a low pressure pipe where low pressure coolant flows toward an accumulator(30) comprises the steps of:preparing an equalizing pipe to mutually connect the high pressure pipe with the low pressure pipe, a first valve installed on the equalizing pipe and to open and close the flowing of the coolant and a second valve between the connected point of the equalizing pipe and the low pressure pipe and the accumulator; opening the first valve and closing the second valve when equalizing, and closing the first valve and opening second valve when restarting.
