PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silanol-group-containing compound which maintains a stable state without allowing the condensation reaction of the compound itself to proceed to higher than a certain proportion even when it in a form of an aqueous solution is stored for a long time; and a method for producing a silanol-group-containing compound whereby a compound prepared by neutralization reaction can be completely hydrolyzed without acidifying its aqueous solution.
