PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent capable of firmly adsorbing a gaseous molecule having an unshared electron pair and an air cleaning apparatus in which the adsorbent is deposited. SOLUTION: This adsorbent (1) has a pore (3) which is formed so that ammonia gas can enter the inside thereof and in which a metal ion (5) for forming a complex together with a molecule (7) of ammonia gas is housed.
