PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing apparatus solving problems that a pivot shaft impairs aesthetic appearance and narrows a fire monitoring area, having a superior design property and monitoring a fire in a wide area. SOLUTION: This fire extinguishing apparatus 1 including a rotating fire hose nozzle 7 is provided with a first driving means 8 rotating the fire hose nozzle 7 around a first pivot shaft 13 and a second driving means 9 normally moving the fire hose nozzle 7 and the first pivot shaft 13 in a storage place and moving the fire hose nozzle 7 and the first pivot shaft 13 in fire extinguishing positions in case of fire.
