PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved biodegradable thin article such as an elastomeric glove, and a method of making the same.SOLUTION: A glove 100 comprises at least one layer of an elastomeric material. The elastomeric material comprises a blend of: a polylactic acid polymer 110; and a non-ionic surfactant including an octyl phenol ethoxylate 112. The polylactic acid polymer is selected from the group consisting of D polylactic acid, L polylactic acid, D,L polylactic acid, meso polylactic acid, and any combinations thereof. A method of making a thin article comprises: preparing a hydrosol including a polylactide polymer powder and an octyl phenol ethoxylate; and forming the thin article using the hydrosol.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
