PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifuge achieving an energy-saving function by dimming the light of a display part so as not to impede the display of an operating condition during the rotation of a rotor.SOLUTION: A centrifuge includes: a driving part for rotating a rotor that holds a sample; a control part for controlling the rotation of the rotor; an operating part that receives input; and a display part for displaying information that indicates an operating condition, wherein the rotor is rotated under input conditions. The display part has a function of adjusting brightness, and has a dimming mode of controlling to reduce brightness when there is no input from the operating part for a predetermined time. The dimming mode is carried out by reducing or turning off the illuminance of a backlight of a liquid crystal display. The dimming mode is carried out during the stop and setting operation of the rotor. |
