PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tabular denitration catalyst that is suitable for catalytically reducing nitrogen oxides contained in an exhaust gas containing ashes of a high content of alkaline earth metals, and is durable to long-time use, while keeping a high activity, and to provide a production method thereof.SOLUTION: A paste containing an active catalytic component is pressed on a long-sized tabular carrier by a roller for emboss processing. A plurality of protrusions having a predetermined shape of a width of 1-3 mm and a height of 5-20 μm are formed at a predetermined interval on the surface of the paste pressed on the tubular carrier. A flat part and a belt-like spacer part are then formed alternately at a predetermined interval by press bending to obtain a tubular denitration catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
