A refrigeration cycle device 100 provided with refrigerant piping 90 configured so that, in heating operation, a refrigerant flows through a compressor 1, a four-way valve 2, an indoor heat exchanger 3, a first expansion valve 4, a second expansion valve 5, and an outdoor heat exchanger 6 in that order, the refrigeration cycle device 100 comprising: a heat storage tank 10 having a liquid layer section 10l; bypass piping 20 having one end located above the liquid level of the liquid layer section 10l within the heat storage tank 10, the bypass piping 20 also having the other end located connected to a flow merging section 90a located in the refrigerant piping 90 at a position on the suction side of the compressor 1; and a third expansion valve 21 provided in the bypass piping 20, wherein the heat storage tank 10 is provided downstream of the first expansion valve 4 in the direction of refrigerant flow in heating operation and upstream of the second expansion valve 5 in the direction of refrigerant flow in the heating operation, and wherein the refrigerant piping 90 and/or the bypass piping 20 is provided so that a refrigerant having flowed out of the third expansion valve 21 exchanges heat with a refrigerant within the heat storage tank 10. |
