An electronic cigarette for automatically controlling atomising power and a method for same, the electronic cigarette comprising a power supply module (9) used for providing power to the electronic cigarette, a smoking trigger module (8), a main controller (1), an atomiser electrothermal wire (2), an e-liquid guiding member (3) in contact with the atomiser electrothermal wire (2), a light detecting component (5) used for detecting the light transmittance of the e-liquid guiding member (3), and a power adjustment module (6), the light detecting component (5) being used for detecting the light transmittance of the e-liquid guiding member (3), the light transmittance of the e-liquid guiding member (3) reflecting the amount of e-liquid absorbed therein, and then the main controller (1), on the basis of a detection signal provided by the light detecting component (5), outputting a corresponding power adjustment signal to adjust the atomising power of the electronic cigarette, thereby implementing automatic control of the atomising power of the electronic cigarette and having the advantages of simplicity, low costs, and ease of implementation, significantly improving the user experience. |
