According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for recognizing a facial expression of a user comprises the following steps of: learning face information from facial expression images of users; recognizing the users from the inputted face images of the users; storing the facial expression images of the recognized users; and assigning weighted values to the facial expression images of the recognized users to relearn the facial expression information. Therefore, the method can recognize a facial expression of a specific user well.
