PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embolizing material which is excellent in passage of a catheter and temporary embolization of bloodstream in a living body.

SOLUTION: The pearly particle of polyvinyl alcohol for a blood vessel-temporarily embolizing agent has a saponification degree of 90 mol% or more and an average particle size of 70 μm-1,000 μm, and the blood vessel-temporarily embolizing agent is obtained by mixing or dissolving the particle.
