PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal generation circuit capable of substantially making the minimum unit of a value to be set in a generation part for generating a signal having a period and an on-time corresponding to a set value become smaller than the actual minimum value, and to provide a voltage conversion device and a signal generation method.SOLUTION: A CPU 11 determines a set value of an on-time for causing a generation part 16 to generate a PWM signal having an on-time being the closest to an on-time corresponding to the product of a reference period and a target duty to set the set value in the generation part 16 every N period of the PWM signal generated by the generation part 16. Further, the CPU 11 multiplies a period obtained by dividing the on-time of the PWM signal generated by the generation part 16 by the target duty according to the determined set value of the on-time by N, specifies a settable value of a period for generating a PWM signal having a period being the closest to a period multiplied by N, determines a set value of a period for N periods on the basis of a quotient Q and a remainder R obtained by dividing the specified settable value by N, and sets the set value in the generation part 16 in each period of the PWM signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
