<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell keeping highly reliable seal structure for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell formed by stacking an electrolyte assembly, a cooling medium, a separator having a passage through which at least one of fuel gas and oxidant gas flows, and a manifold, and a sealant arranged in the peripheries of the passage and the manifold, the exposed surface of a sealing material for various kinds of fluid is covered with a water repellent film. The inner wall surface of the manifold in the stacking direction of the fuel cell is covered with the water repellent film. Deterioration of the sealing material, corrosion of the adhesion interface between the sealing material and the separator, and the corrosion of the inner wall part of the manifold are prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
