PURPOSE:To stabilize an injection quantity by early attenuating reflection wave of spill pressure occurring in a fuel chamber of a pump element. CONSTITUTION:A sliding body 4 freely slidable within a valve housing 3 fixed at a fuel inlet 49 of a fuel injection pump 1 is energized toward a cock body 6 due to elasticity of a first spring 7 and a valve body 5 seating on a valve seat of the sliding body 4 is pushed due to elasticity of a spring 8. Reflection wave of spill pressure occurring within a fuel chamber 48 of a pump housing 45 is absorbed, and hence attenuated, due to slide resistance of the sliding body 4 and slide resistance of the sliding body 4 and elasticity of the first spring 7. |
