PURPOSE:To provide different optical connection paths, element by element, by equipping an array optical device with an element which emits linear polarized light, and providing a polarizing optical element which forms a different optical path between orthogonal linear polarized light beams in an optical connection state. CONSTITUTION:Plural array optical devices 1 where optical elements with light emitting and receiving functions are arrayed are provided, the array optical devices 1 are mutually connected by two lenses 5, and a rotation prism 6 is installed as a polarizing element on their optical path. This prism 6 refracts S-polarized light and transmits P-polarized light as it is. Therefore, the projection light from a P-polarized light emitting element 2 is made incident on a corresponding photodetecting element in image formation relation as it is, but the projection light from an S-polarized light emitting element 3 is made incident on a different element. Thus, the elements 2 and 3 which emit light beams in different polarization directions are provided in the array optical device 1 and the rotation prism 6 is provided in the optical system to easily obtain the constitution other than simple 1:1 image formation. |
