BROAD SPECTRUM ANTIOXIDANT PEPTIDES CONTAINING HISTIDINE-PROLINE RESIDUE

摘要

An anti-oxidative peptide is provided to show excellent anti-oxidative activity against oxidation of lipoprotein caused by various oxidative stresses, thereby being usefully used for prophylactic and therapeutic agent of cardiovascular system diseases, metabolic diseases and oxidative stress related diseases. The peptide having anti-oxidative property against low density lipoprotein(LDL) is characterized in that a histidine-proline(His-Pro) residue is existent on a C-terminal, the number of amino acid is 3-7, and it further comprises an uncharged polar amino acid such as cysteine and glutamine.
