PURPOSE: To provide an opposite faces interconnecting fastener member and a fastener having the fastener member capable of mutually engaging under a prescribed relative positional relationship. CONSTITUTION: A first and a second fastener member 10 and 12 have approximately flat bases 14 and 16, and a plurality of headed projections 19 and 20 erected approximately vertically from the bases 14 and 15. The first fastener member 10 has one columnar projection 28 approximately at the center of the base 14 in such a state as approximately in parallel with the headed projections 18. Also, the height of the columnar projection 28 is equal to or more than the sum of the length of the head projections 18 of the first fastener member 10 and the length of the headed projections 20 of the second fastener member 12. The second fastener member 12 has a boundary surface 36 for defining one hole 34 approximately at the center of the base 16. The hole 34 has a contour larger than the maximum contour of the columnar projection 28 by the prescribed size on a given cross section approximately in parallel with the base 14 of the first fastener member 10.
