<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where a belt unit can be easily attached/detached, and also, the belt unit can be accurately and stably positioned without complicating the constitution of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The laser printer 1 is provided with the attachable/detachable belt unit 15 including an endless carrying belt 18, supporting rollers 16 and 17 for supporting the carrying belt 18 and a belt frame 50. A unit supporting part 60 for supporting the bearing part 17A of the supporting roller 17 and a unit supporting part 59 for supporting the bearing part 16A of the supporting roller 16 are arranged on the printer main body side. The bearing part 17A presses the unit supporting part 60 against the supporting roller 16 with the energizing force of a coil spring 54. The unit supporting part 60 is constituted so that an angle formed by the wall surface of the bottom part 60B and the wall surface of the front part 60C may be <90°, and in such a state that the belt unit 15 is attached to the laser printer 1, the bearing part 17A is supported while being sandwiched between the bottom part 60B and the front part 60C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
