<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane-electrode structure capable of keeping the shape and structure as an electrolyte membrane without deforming or flowing out to the outside of a system even if the stacking load of a cell is increased in order to prevent output loss caused by increase in contact resistance or occurrence of gas leak, or a gel state electrolyte causes phase transition in a sol state, and to provide an energy device such as a fuel cell using the membrane-electrode assembly. <P>SOLUTION: Electrodes 3 are arranged on both sides of the electrolyte membrane 2 comprising a gel state ionic conductor having sol-gel phase transition temperature, and a spacer 4 for holding the distance between the electrodes 3, 3 constant is installed in the surroundings of the electrolyte membrane 2 so that the electrodes 3, 3 are overlapped to the spacer 4 on the projection plane in the peripheral part of the electrolyte. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
