<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a black ink composition that does not promote pigment precipitation and has excellent printing qualities such as OD value, fixing properties, etc., even if used with a pigment dispersion and a resin emulsion. <P>SOLUTION: The black ink composition comprises at least water, carbon black and a resin emulsion. The carbon black has 10-30nm primary particle diameter, 180-250ml/100g DBP oil absorption, the value of BET specific surface area (m<SP>2</SP>/g)/DBP oil absorption (ml/100g) of 0.3-2.5 and the 50% volume average particle diameter of 100-250nm in the dispersion and the resin emulsion has ≤0 °C glass transition point (Tg) and the value of the volume-average particle diameter of the resin emulsion/50% volume average particle diameter of the carbon black of ≤0.7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
