PURPOSE:To simplify assembly and improve dimensional stability of an electromagnetic relay by a method wherein a coil assembly and an insulator base are fixed by fitting a cut or a protrusion formed on the coil assembly to a hole or a protrusion made for the purpose of a fixture to the insulator base. CONSTITUTION:On the bottom of an insulator base 3, a hole passing through its external surface and a protruding reference mount 40a which determines a reference position of a coil assembly 1 when it is inserted are formed, and on flanges at both ends of a coil spool 11, a cut portion which is approximately fit to the shape of a reference mount 10a is formed. On at least either the inner wall of the base 3 or the flange of the spool 11, a fitting protrusion is made by which a coil assembly 1 is fitted to the through hole of the base 3 when the coil assembly 1 is inserted into the base 3 from an upper portion. Further, the base 3 and the coil assembly 1 are fixed to each other with sealing compound, which is poured on the bottom of the base 3 and touches the bottom of the flange through the through hole of the base 3, and with a fitting protrusion. This firmly secures the base and the coil assembly together, improving dimensional stability and simplifying the assembly. |
