Radio transceiver with dipole aerial on housing

At least one surface aerial (15-17) is located at the housing (12), coupled by an aerial switch (S1-3) for transmission and reception of radio signals. An impedance adjusting circuit (32) is coupled to the dipole aerial (14) and one aerial switch. A transceiver circuit (40) is coupled to the impedance adjusting circuit for converting the received signals into base band signals and for base band signals to be transmitted into radio signals. There are mode controls (34,34) for aerial switch and the impedance adjusting circuit for impedance conforming.
