The tubular seal (1) is fitted by an assembly frame (10) supporting same onto the web plate (2) of the door or door recess and the seal is then filled with a fluid such as air so that it enlarges slightly in cross-section away from the assembly frame and is then pressed against the web plate where an adhesive (3) on the seal comes into effect. The assembly frame is then removed. Independent claim describes assembly device where assembly frame has a U-shaped channel (11) holding the seal and opening towards the web plate. The frame has a fluid insert nozzle (12) projecting through the wall of the seal.
