At least one of the pillars (1) of the vehicle has a plastic covering element (2) extending from the floor into the window area. An integrally formed air guide channel (5) extends along one of the side edges on the inside of the cover facing the pillar. The channel has an air intake (6) in floor area, and air outlet (7) e.g. a nozzle, directed against the window (3). The intake is formed as a socket for connection to a heater/air conditioner in the vehicle.
