PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval device capable of appropriately retrieving information for satisfying a retrieval condition, the method and a computer readable memory. SOLUTION: The retrieval condition is inputted from an input part 101 and the importance of respective words for constituting the retrieval condition is decided in an importance decision part 103. Corresponding to the decided importance, the matching degree of the information of a retrieval object and the retrieval condition is calculated in a matching degree calculation part 104. Then, based on the calculated matching degree, the information to be a retrieved result is outputted to a display part 107.
