PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a power unit to stably supply electric power with respect to loads. SOLUTION: When a first voltage detecting section 12 discriminates that an input voltage Vin of a converter 30 does not fall within a prescribed voltage level range set based on the operable input voltage range of the converter 30, while the converter 30 supplies desired electric power to each block, the power supply is terminated by stopping the operation of the converter 1 by means of a signal PS, by turning off a switch 11 by means of a detect signal DT1, at the same time, setting a latch circuit 20. When the voltage Vin becomes lower than a prescribed voltage level range, the converter 30 is restarted by means of the signal PS by resetting the latch circuit 20, based on the detect signal DT2 from a second voltage detecting section 143 indicating that the voltage Vin became lower than the prescribed voltage level range or the operate signal SW of a power switch 14. Until the circuit 20 is reset, the power supply to each block is stopped, even if the voltage Vin recovers to fall within the prescribed voltage level range. |
