NON-CONTACT STATIC ELECTRICITY PREVENTING METHOD

PURPOSE: A non-contact static electricity preventing method is provided to remove a short ring left at the inner side of a scribing line by grinding to prevent neighboring lines from short-circuiting. CONSTITUTION: An outer short ring line(8) is formed at the inner side of a scribing line(2) to reduce the influence of electrostatic discharge in the fabrication of a liquid crystal display. The outer short ring line is left even after scribing has been performed in order to prevent electrostatic discharge. The outer short ring is removed by the final grinding process. The outer short ring is made of multi-level metal.
