An information processing device includes process information saving means (131) and process restoration means (132). During execution of an application, a process table (201) existing in an OS (130) and other information required for restoring the process are copied to a save area (124) on a main storage area (120). During restart, the main storage area used by the application is maintained as it is and only the OS is initialized. After the initialization, the process information (the process table and other information managed by the OS) which has been saved is overwritten on an OS data area (122). By using such a configuration, it is possible to provide an environment where the process before the restart can be continuously executed even after the process restart.
