<p>A composition of matter which can form a phosphorous containing surface on the surface of iron containing components in a combustion zone wherein hydrocarbons are being combusted, the composition containing nitrogen, phosphorous and an alkali metal, generally in the form of a complex salt having the formula (I) where R is a hydrocarbyl group containing from 8 to 22 carbon atoms, a is 2 to 4, m+n is 6 to 14 provided that one of m or n must be at least 4, and M is an aklali metal.</p> |
