<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller for an image forming apparatus with which roller performance is stabilized and a high-quality image free of density unevenness can be obtained and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The roller for the image forming apparatus is constituted by disposing a foaming elastic body layer composed of urethane as a principal component to an arbor.
