METHOD FOR TREATING SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SEPARATION MEMBRANE BY USING THIS TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a substrate which needs nonionic hydrophilic properties on the surface without deactivating characteristics of a functional material existing on the substrate.

SOLUTION: A method for treating the substrate is characterized by that a nonionic hydrophilic polymer is brought into contact with the substrate on which the functional material exists. The method can be widely used for applications which need nonionic hydrophilic properties on the surface without deactivating the characteristics of the functional material existing on the substrate.
