Method and System of Executing Application and Computer-Readable Media Recording Application Execution Program Using Pointing Device

A method and a device for executing an application using a pointing device, and a computer-readable recording medium storing an application execution program are provided to enable a user to conveniently execute the application without using clicks of a mouse, or physical hot keys. A position recognizer(310) recognizes a 2D(Dimensional) position for a pointer of the point device(300) displayed to a graphic window screen. The first storing part(333) stores a preset active zone having a specific zone in the window screen. The second storing part(335) stores a matching table for matching the active zone with more than one application. A controller(320) executes the application matched with the active zone by referring to the second storing part in case that a position signal received from a position recognizer represents the active zone stored in the first storing part.
