PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent alignment deterioration while preventing a sheet from being damaged because of an alignment plate rubbing a loaded sheet in a configuration which puts one of a pair of alignment plates on a sheet loaded on a loading tray so as to make alignment.SOLUTION: When a sheet smaller in width than a sheet loaded on a loading tray 701 is loaded, a smaller sheet is discharged in a state with alignment plates 711a and 711b moved to a position away by a predetermined distance from both edges of the smaller sheet, and an alignment operation by the alignment plates 711a and 711b is not performed. |
