An apparatus for determining a volume of tissue mass destroyed is disclosed. The apparatus includes (a) a laser probe (14) which has a temperature sensor (15) adapted to measure a temperature of the tissue mass, (b) a temperature probe (16) adapted to measure a tissue temperature in proximity to the tissue mass, (c) a computer control system (22) electrically connected to both the laser probe (14) and temperature probe (16) and adapted to determine the volume of tissue mass destroyed based upon the tissue mass temperature and the tissue temperature, and (d) a display (36) connected to the computer control system (22) and adapted to display a graphical representation of the volume of the tissue mass destroyed. |
